I developed a machininst training curriculum to be taught at Vector Space in early 2020, and in doing so tried to come up with projects interesting to those not already interested in machining. So 1-2-3 blocks were out, useful kitchen tools were in. The first was salt and pepper shakers.

I designed these in FreeCAD and made them out of aluminum. The salt shaker was made almost entirely on the lathe and the pepper shaker on the milling machine.
