Ten Second Timer

June 2018

Arduino, electronics, wood, vinyl

We've all been there. You get a text from an unknown number linking to a Twitter photo, asking if you can make this thing. This time, the answer was yes.

For lack of a better name, it's a ten second timer game. Hit the button, then try to hit it again at exactly 10 seconds. It's built using an Arduino and a time resolution in microsecond range. The most difficult part of this project was convincing the restaurant owner that I had to program a window of time for the correct answer, as it would take thousands of years for someone to stop the timer at exactly 10.0000 seconds.
