If the COVID pandemic brought me anything positive, it was an abundance of ideas. I was already a fan of the idea of universal basic income, but this was a time that really solidified my belief that when people are afforded free time without the threat of starvation, they can produce interesting ideas.

My youngest son (4) loves building with Duplos, I had just finished designing an RC circuit for fighting robots, and it struck me that a radio controlled Duplo plate might be fun. I designed and printed the plate, motor mounts, and controller, and also designed and built the receiver and transmitter circuits. It was definitely a hit, but I think my 7 year old gets even more use out of it.
