Woodworking doesn't have to be hard

Wood

You don't need proprietary plastic blocks to build things. Of course there's always cardboard, but don't overlook wood. Our makerspace has an endless supply of wood scraps in the trash cans that can be modified by children using hand tools. Saws can be used to make this organic material smaller, glue can join two pieces to become larger. Yes, woodworking can be that simple.
